Performing a Build in LinuxLink Classic
LinuxLink provides several types of project templates. After you have created the project, the project details are displayed, and you can start a build. Create a new project using one of the following wizards:
- A Linux platform project that produces a complete Linux distribution
- A simple project that uses the build system computer (x86) to build an existing source package
- A new, empty project - I will add build files later
Note
Projects belong to species, which can be either the simplebuild or the distbuilder2 type. These are identified by lines in the build.ini file produced by LinuxLink Builder.
- Click on the green Start Build button in the upper-right side.
- Select a cluster (choices here will depend on your LinuxLink subscription), and then click Start Build again.
- As the build starts, progress messages appear, and the button turns to a red Cancel button.
- You can leave the build page while the build is occurring. When the build is finished, LinuxLink sends you an e-mail with the results.
